TV in Portugal Announce Major Changes Due to Sports Stoppages

Due to the official announcement of the suspension of the professional football leagues, the domestic operator Sport TV has announced that it will not charge the monthly fee to subscribers during the stoppage period.

Sport TV will also be available to everyone on basic packages, enable those spending all this extra time indoors to have another option for entertainment.

BTV, a channel owned by Benfica, will also be available to everyone, not just subscribers, during this suspension period, per the Record.

BTV’s objectives are the same as Sport TV. Since the population is advised to stay in their homes, these television stations intend to provide additional viewing options.

Sporting TV and Porto Canal are already available on basic packages.
