Carlos Carvalhal was upset after his team lost 1-0 at home to Gil Vicente and was eliminated from the League Cup.
A late PK at 90+5 provided the only goal of the match and Rio Ave disputed the call.
Carvalhal was terribly disappointed when talking in the flash interview.
“I am a coherent and serious person, I have a clean record. I will ask for a meeting with the president and I will resign. I am not going to live in such a situation, this is not my football, my game. When I don’t believe what I am seeing, I will resign because I do not want to continue like this.”
“I’ve been working hard, I do honest work, players work hard and they can’t why? What am I doing here? I am here to achieve success and I can not achieve it without it being related to my work or the players, I am not doing anything here. I don’t want this for my life.”
‘I am consistent, I am not talking about the officials. But I have a right to want to live with it or not. I don’t need this to make money. We’re lying to each other, it’s the VAR, it’s the I don’t know what. I have the right not to want this.”
