The Portuguese Government announced that the Airports in Porto and Lisbon will be open during the overnight hours for the UEFA League of Nations Finals on June 4 though the 10.
European regulations require no flights in-or-out after midnight through at least 6:00am daily to avoid noise issues. However, an exception is being made due to the expected crowd of visiting fans that will descend upon the country to watch the finals.
The Portuguese Government supported the idea to host the inaugural League of Nations Final 4, 3rd Place, and Final matches, so it was in their best interest to make this temporary accommodation that will benefit the country with tourism revenue and help boost the image as a destination hot spot.
Although the four matches will take place up north, the airport in Lisbon is being included to help fans that arrive though that city and to help with security during the UEFA League of Nations entire week.
